With George Osbourne due to present his budget later, the question we have to ask is, will there be any benefit to the Hospitality Industry.
At Lobster we have been interested observers and admirers of how the industry that we serve has coped with the deterioration of the nations economy over the last few years. We have seen a remarkable ability to adapt and commit to new ways of marketing, promoting the businesses in the industry.
The hope later today is that the Chancellor will present a budget that will assist the industry and allow it to prosper. The constant increase in tax on alcohol for example, has hit the bars, sports clubs and venues that rely on bar revenue for survival. So will the alcohol duty increase today and increase that burden.
